AutisticOrNot.com Feedback, Reviews & Community Responses
Overall feedback from participants 2025, 2026
As autistic adults ourselves, our aim is always to SET THE STANDARD for accessible online assessment for those adults who don’t want or cannot access private, in-person, clinical diagnosis for any reason.
Following launch, we invited the first 200 participants who completed the AutisticOrNot reflection to provide structured feedback and reviews of their experience. From those who responded, scored survey data and written reflections were analysed.
Participants rate their experience across eight areas using a scale from “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree”. All are welcome to complete the entirely optional feedback step.
Across all survey questions to date, 78% of responses have been positive or extremely positive.
Verbatim Participant Reviews
Below are direct excerpts from written feedback and reviews, shared with first names.
“I am grateful for the detailed report, and I feel respected and seen in this process. The outcome has confirmed what has been on my mind for a very long time. I will now move forward to get a official diagnosis, it is never too late, even at 64. Thank you.”
— Charlotte
“Thank you, I felt seen and now i have the beginnings of an operating manual for my brain and nervous system. I think everything was very well put together and clearly rooted in diagnostic criteria but with the depth of understanding only lived experience can give.”
— Sarah
“Your detailed report summed me and my brain up perfectly, you filled in my adhd gaps with autism and I feel fully seen and heard! , it’s the best £19 I’ve spent!”
— Naomi
“Years of therapy, unanswered questions and this quiz answered more questions by simply asking me questions.”
— Tanya
“Very informative. Would also be helpful if you could have further areas to confirm diagnosis for employers etc”
— Yvette (we’re on it Yvette, coming soon!)
“Its brought me so much clarity, Im so glad I have answers now.”
— Lucy
Reviews and Feedback
-
Clarity and usability have scored strongly. A majority of respondents selected “Agree” or “Strongly Agree” in their reviews when asked whether the website was clear and whether the system was easy to use independently.
A majority selected “Agree” or “Strongly Agree” when asked whether they better understood their traits after completing the reflection.
A majority also selected “Agree” or “Strongly Agree” when asked whether the report was accurate and useful, and whether it was comprehensive.
Importantly, value perception has been particularly strong.

The vast majority of respondents concluded that the participation fee represented good value, with no negative ratings recorded. We are especially proud of this, given that cost is often a primary barrier to gaining neurodivergence clarity for our audience.
£19 is not insignificant, and we recognise that for some it remains out of reach. We therefore offer a small number of supported access vouchers each month.
We have chosen a simple, transparent upfront fee. There are no hidden result payments, subscriptions or upselling pathways. For adults who are seeking clarity rather than a formal clinical diagnosis, this provides a proportionate and accessible alternative to far higher cost routes.

The reflection is not simply a set of multiple choice questions. Each section includes explanatory notes outlining why particular themes are explored, how they relate to established research and diagnostic frameworks, and how traits may present differently in adults.
Participants are given contextual guidance alongside the structured questions. This is particularly important in areas where recall may be limited, such as childhood experiences, or where masking and adaptation strategies may influence adult presentation.
The intention is not only to gather responses, but to provide understanding alongside them. This was seen to be extremely valuable in allowing participants to feel “seen and heard” unlike basic quiz alternatives. It also allowed a greater degree of reflection during the process rather than relying only on the outcome.
-
In addition to structured survey responses and reviews, we occasionally receive direct emails from participants. For some, the process itself can feel validating or emotionally significant.
If you have completed the AutisticOrNot reflection and would like to leave feedback or reviews, you are welcome to contact us at hello@autisticornot.com. We do not send marketing emails, and all feedback is reviewed personally.

Since launch, hundreds of participants have completed the AutisticOrNot reflection. While we receive occasional routine technical support enquiries, as would be expected with any online system, there has been only one refund request to date. This related to a technical issue that was resolved the same day and refunded voluntarily. We have also received one request suggesting minor wording refinement. No wider systemic issues have been identified.
-
We have also received thoughtful constructive feedback. A small number of participants noted that some questions felt difficult to answer, particularly when recalling childhood experiences, and one person described the format as feeling “too rigid.” These perspectives matter to us. Adult reflection can involve gaps in memory, masking and complexity that are not always easy to capture in structured questions. In response, we are reviewing wording for clarity, strengthening explanatory notes, and exploring ways to offer greater flexibility in how traits are described and contextualised.
In operational terms, across hundreds of participants there has been only one refund request, which related specifically to a technical issue in the delivery of login access. This was resolved the same day and refunded voluntarily. Routine support enquiries occur from time to time, as expected with any online system, but no broader systemic issues have been identified.

Based on participant feedback, reviews and direct communication, we are developing several future additions. Updates will be shared through our social media channels as each element is released.
Planned areas include:
• Guidance for employers, offering practical insight into common work related discomfort reported by participants scoring highly in specific areas, alongside simple accommodation suggestions.
• Resources for relationship partners, grounded in modern research and understanding of adult autism.
• Further sections explaining autism related processes and formal next steps.
• Early stage exploration of a possible ADHD or combined ADHD and autism reflection. This remains cautious and research led.
• Improvements to the sign in pathway to reduce the number of emails currently required.
• An optional condensed report version, allowing participants to receive both the full detailed report and a shorter summary.
• Exploration of emerging research into eye movement patterns in autism detection. This remains at a very early stage.
AutisticOrNot will continue to evolve carefully, guided by participant experience, transparency and respect.

The findings presented above are drawn directly from participant survey data, written feedback and reviews. They have been reviewed carefully for factual accuracy and proportional interpretation.
The full findings of the responses 2025 and 2026 and the invitation to the survey were analysed for factual inference so that we could publish on our website, on 24th February 2026.
Accuracy and integrity in data reporting matter to us. This project operates in a sensitive space, and we are committed to presenting participant feedback and reviews without exaggeration or selective framing.
